What your birth chart is
Your birth chart is a drawing of the sky at the exact moment you were born, seen from the place where you were born. Each planet sat at a specific point of the zodiac, and that arrangement is never repeated the same way for anyone else.
Psychological astrology reads that drawing as a map of how you work inside: what you need, how you react, where you grow. It doesn't say what will happen to you. It helps you understand where you're living what happens to you from.
What you'll see when you calculate it
At the top is the wheel, the chart itself. Below it you have your three starting points: the Sun, the Moon and the Ascendant. Start there, because that's where many people finally understand why their Sun sign always felt too small.
Then come the planets, one by one, with their sign and house. The planet is one of your functions, like thinking, loving or acting. The sign tells you how it expresses itself, and the house, in which area of your life.
Further down you'll see how the elements and modalities are spread, which half of the wheel carries the most weight, and which conversations your planets hold with each other, what astrology calls aspects.
Your time of birth
With the exact time, the chart is complete. Without it, the planets are still reliable, but the Ascendant and the houses can't be known, because they change every few minutes.
If you don't know your time, tick the box and the calculator will only show you what's certain. I prefer a chart with honest gaps to a complete chart that's made up. If you find your time one day, on your birth certificate or by asking your family, calculate it again.
How it's made
The positions come from high-precision astronomical ephemerides, calculated on our own server. I use the tropical zodiac, the Placidus house system and modern rulers. They're the most widespread conventions in psychological astrology, so your chart will match most serious software.

Is it free?
Yes. The chart, the wheel and the PDF by email are free and don't ask for a card.
Do I need my exact time of birth?
To see the Ascendant and the houses, yes. Without it the calculator shows you the planets, which don't depend on the time, and leaves out anything that could be wrong.
Why doesn't my sign describe me?
Because your Sun sign is just one layer of your chart. The Moon and the Ascendant weigh as much as the Sun, sometimes more. That's why so many people recognise themselves more in their Ascendant or their Moon than in their horoscope.
Does my chart predict the future?
No. Psychological astrology describes processes and tendencies, not destinies. Your chart is a map for understanding yourself, and what you do with it is up to you.
Which house system do you use?
Placidus, with the tropical zodiac and modern rulers. If you compare with another site that uses a different system, the house cusps may vary slightly.
What do you do with my birth data?
It's used to calculate your chart. If you don't leave your email, it's deleted after 90 days. If you do, it's kept while you stay subscribed, so we can send you the PDF. The details are in the privacy policy.
